Plot: It has been three years since the start of the Clone Wars and now Anakin Skywalker is even more powerful than ever working alongside his friend Obi-Wan Kenobi they are hunting down the Separatist villains. Returning from the war Anakin finds out that his wife who he still keeps secret is pregnant and nightmares and memories of the past slowly make the young Jedi turn to the darkside of the force. The rise of the empire ensues...
Acting: It is really sad watching this film, I'll admit it I don't like the fact that this is the last Star Wars movie. I have to say watching The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones both films I liked but had major problems. Acting was one clear problem in Attack of the Clones I couldn't feel for the two lovers Anakin and Padme felt cold. In Sith this has changed the acting is clear and somehow much better. I had doubts about Hayden Christensen as Vader but those were all killed while watching this movie. His performance is simply amazing his transfer to the darkside is actually more realistic than I expected which made the movie feel more real. Natalie Portman I thought was decently cold in Clones also comes out to do a hell of a job and again her character just comes off are a real person rather than a babe who can shoot laser guns. It's Ewan McGregor and Ian McDiarmid though who give the stand out performances. Ewan's light hearted dialogue are probably the most comedic scene's in the film and at the end you care for the man and what he has to go through. McDiarmid on the other hand who had played the Emperor in both trilogies I know had a great time making this movie, because he goes all out with his evil side and it is great to watch. The acting over all is why this film was so amazing.
Directing/Writing: I think what happened I George finally understood how to seriously make this movie great. Phantom Menace I think gets a hard time from fans which I think is un-called for because that movie is a lot of fun and a great start. Only complaints there was the kid himself was not dark enough and he was just how do I say it? Annoying. Also of course Jar Jar Binks I don't even have to go into that. Menace did set up the story and had a great battle and fight scene at the end so that movie altogether I believe was fine. Attack of Clones had in my eyes multiple problems one of those being acting and dialogue in the romantic scenes, and movie felt choppy where some information was left out just to get to a fight scene. The ending Clone Wars battle was not long enough and I think Lucas kept it that way to keep a PG rating. Also in Clones the CGI seemed out of place and messy in many places. In Sith the film is rated pg-13 so the battles are more extreme and intense, and the CGI is the best I've ever seen. We have fully digital characters who if you didn't think about look real at first glance, it's just amazing. Sith starts out like and Indiana Jones movie, big adventure and fighting and it just grabs you by the balls right from the start and really never lets go. The lightsaber fights are intense and there are a number of them and lets just say thanks to the pg-13 they can be a little more daring with the fights. Also if your a Yoda fan, which really I think everyone is. He kicks some major ass in this movie and I loved it. My only complaints are very small one's like too many robots talk in this movie, we have battle droids having full conversations and they sound like goof balls, that just didn't work for me, but that was it!!! This film is just an intense ride even emotionally when the Jedi are being attacked inside I was going "No, no don't do it!" and when a movie makes you do that, you know they've got you.
Overall: I didn't want to give the plot away in my review just in case there are people who don't know the details of what will happen. All I must say is this film might be up there with the Empire Strikes Back and that is amazing and something I'd never say about a prequel. People there was hope and George Lucas brought it, even if your not a Star Wars fan you might want to see this film because it will make you a fan for sure. Thank you George for everything you have done, and now making the best movie of the summer and one of my personal favorite movies of all time, thank you.
