Plot: A pool junkie learns a couple lessons as a kid and once older becomes a good pool player. His brother is trying to follow in his foot steps but when an old friend comes back to ruin everything its time to settle the score, by playing pool!!!... Fun shit and cool pool scenes ensue.

Acting: This has to be the best cast I've seen in a while. I mean most of these guys besides Walken and the guy who used to be on NYPD blue, the rest of cast you I have not seen in very much. Everyone was funny and did one hell of a cool job at doing what they need to. The stand out man is Callahan though. He is so cool and even brings a Jimmy Dean kind of feel to things. This is on my top ten for 2003 because of the good work by the guys in the cast. Really good stuff.

Writing/Directing: This is slickest and coolest movie in a long time. Every character is well made and put together with style, its great. Besides all the stylish dialogue is the amazing pool shot scenes. You will be OHHing and Ahhing throughout the movie. I can't wait for the dvd to see the making of the movie or at least something about the pool because that was too cool for school. I left the movie smiling and wanting to learn how to play pool because I suck more then a one armed blind man at pool. Whatever, Callahan I have no idea if this was his first movie or not but this was really good. He made a Good Will Hunting meets Q's on Wilshire blvd. I loved it!

Overall: Sum it all up I say this is the funniest and just plain cool movie of the year. Sadly I have a feeling it won't be in theatres long because there has been really no advertising for it. If you have a chance go and see it before it leaves or at least rent when it when it comes out. I promise you won't regret it. Or maybe just go out and go play some pool and get off your ass.. No I am just kidding go see the movie.
