The Hunted

Paramount Pictures presents in association with Lakeshore Entertainment

Starring: Tommy Lee Jones and Benicio Del Toro

Directed by: William Friedkin

Plot: A secret special forces member goes crazy after seeing too much evil stuff in Kosovo. Killing becomes his life and he puts it into the real world hunting down hunters and FBI agents. The only man to stop him is the man who trained him to be the best. Knife fighting ensues.

Acting: I love when an action movie has great actors in them it gives the movie such a great feeling. Tommy Lee Jones does the thing he does best which he showed in The Fugitive and US Marshals. He plays such a bad ass cop or whatever who is searching for someone. In this movie it is too the extreme. So yeah Jones was good and he made up for MIB 2 for now. It Del Toro who stands out for me. Not only being a total bad ass but being so dark and freaky in his own ways. He needs to play more villain roles it would be great. I would love to see him be a head bad guy in MI:3 or a Bond movie. Anyway back to this movie, these two actors are the entire movie and they do a hell of a job and made an action movie a good movie.

Directing/Writing: Something about a really good knife fight makes you think doesn't it? I'm kidding there is not much to say about the writing or directing. This movie is a non-stop action thriller which grabs you by the throat and really never lets go. This movie is basically constant action with Tommy hunting down Del Toro all the way to the final battle which I will never get out of my head. I haft to comment on two things which I loved about this movie. The first is the pacing. How you can make a action thriller which really thrills. I mean this movie is not tricking you when it says Action. I loved that. The second thing is this movie is violent and bloody at points. I really have to thank them for doing this. Its been a long time since a violent movie comes along. All these pussy action movies with no one getting shot and blah blah really bothers me. This movie clears that up easily with a lot of knife fighting. So to sum up all of this.... This movie rocks with a capital R.

Overall: This is another movie like Tears of the Sun which choose the wrong date to open. With a war coming in days no one wants to see people being killed with a knife. Well except me. They would rather see A fat black woman and Steve Martin do stupid shit. So this movie will not do well in the box office same as Tears of the Sun but oh well I liked it and I will get on dvd.
