The Hot Chick

Touchstone Pictures presents a Happy Madison production

Starring: Rob Schneider and Anna Faris

Directed by: Tom Brady

Plot: Jessica Spencer(Rachel MacAdams) is the head cheer leader at school and everything seems to go her way using her looks to get what she wants until an ancient pair of earrings switch her body with a gas station robbers(Rob Schneider) now she finds herself a man and she must deal with the duties that come with it. For example pissing in a mens bathroom. I think you can see how down to earth and logical this movie is.

Acting: I did not really like the other movies Rob Schneider was in like the Animal which had its moments. This had a little more meaning I guess. He just does a great job at doing this role. Its probably just because he has no shame or something. The young woman who plays Jessica does a really good job at being a bitch and she must have a good sense of humor to do this movie. Altogether I feel a trend in the movies Schneider does its basically "How can we make him look like an idiot and disgust the audience and well do what no one else does because he allows any one to do anything to him". I guess that is how a script for these movies are made with the basis of that idea.

Writing/Directing: As crazy as this movie was it really made me laugh time to time. The best bit out of them all is with this Korean woman who has a black husband and half and half daughter. At one point she comes on screen looking like a rap star. That was just great and I personally think it saves the movie. This movie will work for anyone though it makes fun at both of the sexes but not in a nasty tone more of a playful one at which woman and men can just laugh at stupid things we each do.

Overall: I don't really suggest this movie because its just not very special it has its moments and it also has long moments where you don't laugh you kind of try and laugh but realize it doesn't work. The thing I hate the most is this movie takes you out of reality basically and they still have these really sappy moments where it seems like they think they are teaching the audience a lesson in life. What would that lesson be may I ask? Don't put on magical earrings which can change your sex or is it, there is no difference between men and woman on the inside? Whatever all I remember is the Korean woman dating a black Jewish guy. So there you go.
