Final Destination 2

Plot: Ok here we go. This young woman goes on a road trip with her friends but as she is driving she basically has a day dream about a car pile up(The most violent one is history) happening and her and  her friends dieing along with other people she has seen on the road. So she pulls over and blocks the road and now that she has stopped something from happening now death is pissed off and wants to clean up the people he didn't kill. A lot of pointless death ensues.

Acting: Ummm this movie has one of the most annoying casts on the planet. I really didn't like anyone but the main character in the movie. Maybe that was the point so when they died in horrible fasions I would not care as much or something. Everyone in this movie but Ali Larter I'm not sure I've even seen before. Ali did a fine job as the only person to survive deaths Super Bowl of death last time around and she tries to help out this poor loser before she gets nailed by death (Not in the sexual tense). So A.J. Cook did a fine job as the lead so I wouldn't mind seeing her in something else later on I guess.

Writing/Directing: I feel bad for the guys who did this movie. I am pretty sure some studio head or board room guy had the idea of making a second one of these movies and they were made to make this movie. So I guess they did a good job. Its basically the first one but they go straight to the point by having people die in the nastiest ways they could think up. For example getting impailed by a ladder and getting your face smashed in by a log etc. My only problem was that this movie went so over the top that it actually became funny in places. The violence was so over done that it took me out of the movie and I realized how stupid it was. Like for example this guy falls off a fire escape in this movie. He hits the ground and looks up and the ladder comes sliding down at his face. It stops about maybe two feet over his face and he goes "Holly shit" or something and then the ladder comes down and stabs him in the face. The only thing is the ladder came down like a stone falling off the Empire State building. None of this made any sense and I suddenly noticed I was laughing my ass off at scenes that just were too over the fucking top. Maybe that is what they were trying to do with this movie.

Overall: This movie is really bad don't get me wrong but guys if your out with a friend and you just want to have a good time in a movie where you don't really need to think because this movie tries to make you think by putting in a lot of plot filler but I didn't notice because as I tried to care I became more frustrated with the movie. So its fun I guess I'm just not looking forward to what is coming. This is the start of a group of sequels off of horror movies from last year  like Jeepers Creepers and Joy Ride. So yeah and just to finish you off about this movie look at the title. Final Destination 2... How exactly does that even make sense... It was the FINAL destination.... How can you have a FINAL destination again? I don't know and I probably shouldn't care.
