Plot: Scottie a young man who just graduated high school finds out he's been dumped by his girl friend. He gets over that pretty fast when he figures out his pen pale from Germany wasn't a guy like he though but actually a hot blonde chick and decides to head to Europe to find her and have sex. He brings his friend randomly along and they meet up with their other friends randomly. Then the pointless comedy ensues, but it was all worth it in the end.
Acting: Frankly I have never seen any of these kids before, except for I am pretty sure Michelle Trachtenberg was Harriet the Spy or some crap but whatever. This group stands its own as one fun loving group of teens. Jacob Pitts is literally a younger version of David Spade so if you can deal with it, which I could you should be fine. You haft to think these guys are pretty cool people anyway for the things they go through in this movie, takes some guts to do that on screen. So I really don't know what else to say about this movie some of these kids will just drift out of memory like a lot of the teens from these movies but they will always have a place in my heart. OH also Matt Damon has cameo in this movie playing punk rock guy, that was clearly a great moment in film history.
Directing/Writing: This movie uses everything we have learned from movies in the past like Animal House, American Pie and Old School. Which is basically crude humor and sex jokes are still hilarious. This movie just keeps the level high with dick and nut jokes to drug jokes. Also this movie is clearly a guy movie, I want to note that guys should not see this movie on a date. Within the first ten minutes of the film a girl takes off her top in confusion. I mean its just so in your face that if your with a date you might feel just a tad akward. Sex is a constant joke in this movie where a sister and brother make out in one scene while their drunk in Eastern Europe, a couple has sex in a confessional in Rome, I mean the list just keeps going with the sex jokes. The best though is when Jacob Pitts character goes into a place called Vandersexx expecting cheap hard core sex with a number of European hotties but instead gets an anal inspection from two huge men. So to me that is just hilarious and I was crying my eyes out, to others that might just piss them off. So I writing this review as warning to some and to everyone else, just go see it before it leaves theatres. Now this movie has other great moments that don't involve sex, one includes when the two young men walk into a British pub to find Manchester United fans. I love the British and this part of the movie was just too much for me. Actually I think the add campaign for this movie was way off. It makes you think its just some American kids making fun of Europeans, the movie actually has the Americans doing stupid stuff in a European setting and actually complements Europe through out the movie. Some moments they have some fun in which they get sexually assaulted by an Italian man and they watch a German kid march around like Hitler, but it was all in good fun.
Overall: I laughed my ass off and I plan to buy this movie when it comes out on dvd. It just matters what your taste is in comedies. If you like over the top and sometimes nasty, this is your movie! I must warn some people there is one scene on a naked beach in which all guys are there looking for naked women (Funny) and then they all turn and chase are hero's and the one female with them, so one huge sausage fest begins in this scene (Not funny). I mean that scene makes Octoberfest look like a small time farmers market.
