Blue Crush

Universal Pictures and Imagine Pictures Present a Brain Grazer Production

Starring: Kate Brosworth Michelle Rodriguez

Directed by: John Stockwell

Plot: A young woman has to over come her fears as she is about to surf in the championship or something, with her friends cheering her on she almost ruins her chance by falling for a NFL quarter back and she must decide what she cares about.

Acting: Kate Brosworth is impressive in this role, not much dialogue to work with but she does it well and I hope to see her more in the future. The rest of the cast is well the rest of the cast they say some stuff and stand around. Its sad to see Rodriguez not doing much in the movie when she looks more like a surfer girl but she does what she can with the role.

Directing/Writing: This screen play seemed like it was from the books of screen writing real simple plot and love story but that is not what makes this movie what it is. Stockwell who made Crazy/Beautiful an okay movie but it looked good well he makes this movie look good. The scenes that will stand out is the surfing scenes which blew my mind, at first they made me want to surf that is until I saw the big one's that literally crushed people.

Overall: This movie is a flat out ride. You don't see this movie for the dialogue and plot its the fact that the surfing scenes is are genuine and spectacular and I actually got a couple laughs from this movie but if your into surfing this might not be your type of movie since its based around it, but for everyone else you should see this movie for the real rush for the crush.
