Men
In Black 2
Columbia Pictures presents an Amblin Entertainment production.
Starring Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith, oh yeah and frank the pug.
A
Barry Sonnenfeld film.
Plot: This is easy. An alien comes from space to Earth to steal some light
that does ..., well it does something. And the men in black must stop it
because..., well I don¹t know, but Tommy Lee Jones comes back.
Acting: The only thing that kept me awake was the fact that Will Smith can
entertain. He is very funny in this movie and Jones is the best. I wish I
could see more of him in this role.
Directing/Writing: Same as the first movie. Really, it has a cool feeling
throughout the film and the special effects are great. But the script
was only eighty eight pages long. This was one of the shortest movies I¹ve ever
seen and that made me mad and disappointed at this movie.
Overall: I was actually ready to care about this movie. I loved the original
characters and everything. I¹m so upset that they decided to put no heart in
this movie what so ever. They basically made the shortest movie possible to get
the most money and the movie is filled with ads for cell phones and fast food
restaurants. They must spend like seventy percent of them movie in the new car,
which they show off like a thousand times. I was like “I get it you have a car,
and you know what I think it’s shitty”. I mean the villain played by Laura
Flynn Boyle was really cool but they don’t use her much. They have her run
around and flash us once and then that’s it. Even Johnny Knoxville is in the
movie, but he just stands there for a moment and leaves. They basically wanted
to use the dog more and the worms which was fun but useless. Once I thought
about it, they took a great idea and made it into one long commercial, how sad.
