2 Fast 2 Furious
Universal Pictures presents a Neal H. Moritz production
Starring: Paul Walker Tyrese and Eva Mendes
Directed by: John Singleton
Rating:**
Plot: Set after the first one Brian (Paul Walker) is now in Miami for no reason and likes to race. Once he is arrested during one of the races the cops give him a deal, since he used to work for the LAPD until he let Vin Diesel go in the first Fast and the Furious. They are going to set him up as a driver for this drug laundering guy. Brian of course needs a partner so he demands that his old child hood friend must join him. That guy is Tyrese, I have no idea why I am going into the plot to this piece of shit, this is how it goes a lot of cool cars and woman. There you go...
Acting: This is easy, there was none! Well that is a lie the bad guy did great acting. Okay I'll just start off with this, I sometimes forget if Paul Walker is a human or a plank of wood. He can't act stop putting him in movies, he is a model that is it, a good looking guy I'll admit that but not a good actor. I only remember a couple of movies he is in and Fast and the Furious was the best, that is a bad thing. Okay so Paul Walker sucks we got that down, lets move on shall we? Tyrese, what is up this guy? First thing any guy who has like one name who isn't a total bad ass is a dip shit. Like I know what happened with this movie, once Vin Diesel left the entire movie went to shit and they picked up Tyrese at the last second. Its just in this movie he doesn't do anything but piss off everybody. He and Walker have no chemistry as "buddies" he is just a tolken black guy who says crazy shit and can get away with it because he is black. All his lines are stale except for the one's I am sure he made up. Okay enough on those two idiots I'll break the rest of the cast down. The bad guy, I don't know his name but I remember him from Pitch Black and he kicks ass. Now with the lead woman in this movie, she is the only thing that holds the movie together. Eva Mendes plays this cop that could be bad or good (Hmmm I wonder which one?). She has this thing for the screen she just knows how to catch your eye and that is good in acting. Now I will finish off this section with one more thing that pissed me off about Paul Walker. He tries and I mean TRIES really hard to talk like a black person in this movie and failed amazingly. So take that Cuz youz bitches gotz nothin on me!
Directing/Writing: Well first off I don't think there was a script. I think it was a bunch of random ideas put together for no real point. John Singleton is a cool guy I mean he directed Shaft one of the best movies. Its just this movie except for the action scenes is so bad its amazing. Like I think all the money for this movie went to the cars rather then too a script writer. So yeah, the cars are great and if you see this movie in the right theatre like I did you will be happy because the car chases are vroom vroom great. The opening car chase is like ten minutes long and it kicks ass and kind of out does the entire movie. The rest of the movie has one or two great car moments and the rest is Paul Walker and Tyrese bitching at each other for really no reason, and half of the movie you start thinking the two are dating. The action is good and the cars were good, but if they were just making the movie for that point (Which I know they were) why didn't they just have it through the entire god damn movie instead of making the audience sit through bull shit for twenty minutes. I mean if this movie was all car chases, woman and guns I think it would be my favorite movie.
Overall: This movie is good for those times your at home and seriously have nothing to do but otherwise don't waste your time. The first car chase is damn sweet and the end is kind of cool but wow I didn't think this movie could be that bad. I enjoy movies like this sometimes and this and Matrix Reloaded and The Italian Job have great car chases. This leads to next weeks Hollywood Homicide which I heard has a great car chase and then Bad Boys 2 car chase later this summer. This is the summer of sequels and car chases. VROOOM!
P.S. I never want to see Ludacris on a movie screen again please
